Hi, I’m Angélica, a 2D artist and game designer with a focus on vector art and a stylized visual language, with experience as well in traditional art, plush doll design, and graphic design. Over the last 10+ years I’ve been working on projects of all these disciplines combined. Besides loving working with traditional media such as oil paintings, acrylics, and color pencils, I’m skilled on a wide range of art software, including Inkscape, Illustrator, Photoshop, Krita, Blender, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer. On the Game Designer side, my favorite engine is Unity, although I am also skilled in building quick prototypes in Construct 3, and Figma wireframes.

    UI designed for the educational game Memory Match Finnish. The goal of the game is to start learning the Finnish language, the target audience is beginners in the study of the Finnish language. The game uses the casual mechanic of matching pairs of cards. This is a collaborative project with a team of three people so far. My roles in the development have been: lead game designer, art director, 2D artist and animator, and UI designer. The design and artwork in this portfolio piece is my own creation with the only exception of the following: the coin icon, the orange illustration, the coffee cup illustration, the avocado illustration, the lemon illustration, and the paprika illustration; which are artwork by Phi Khanh Tran, the other 2D artist in the team.
