Annie Mariyam

Hey! I’m Annie Mariyam. I’m a self-taught artist with a BSc in Psychology. I’ve been passionate about art ever since I could hold a pencil. Growing up surrounded by people who encouraged creativity made art a big part of who I am. I love exploring different styles and the joy of creating pieces that connect emotionally with people.

I usually start my process in my sketchbook when inspiration strikes, often from something simple around me or other artists’ works. I enjoy mixing mediums like watercolor and acrylic to add texture and surprise to my work. Adding whimsical details and contrasting colors helps make my art stand out, and finishing a piece that truly speaks to me brings a deep sense of contentment.
