My most recent position was a Graphic Designer for Hillier Nurseries Ltd. During my time at Hillier, I have been a part of a two-person design team that sits within a wider marketing team. Due to the small size of my team, I have had a hand in almost every project that comes to us, ranging from: POS Design, packaging, email and newsletter design, web design, infographic design, illustrated guides, internal training resources, large format signage and digital assets for events, animated assets for social media as well as much more. I think the broad and unchained environment in this team has proven me able to handle large work loads with short turnarounds, as well as having touch points in almost every sector of the business. My work is printed and displayed around their 22 store locations, interacting with the customers everywhere they look. In my previous role at Paper Engine, a 4 month internship in my second year of university, I was again in a small team of five. I was trusted as the lead artworker on our main project for Aardman Animation, and was responsible for the design and artworking of the products we developed for them. I also worked on marketing and merchandising projects, as well as working with high-industry printers and suppliers to liaise on materials and printing methods. I have years of experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud, most notably in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and am confident in my design and illustrative abilities.
