    Rive Character Animation for Whisper: Daily Quotes App
    Whisper: Daily Quotes is a mobile app that allows users to track their daily mood, answer a system-generated prompt about how they are feeling, and receive encouragement, advice, or personal anecdotes from other anonymous users. For this project, I was commissioned by the app developer, Dohhyun Oh, to create a series of mascot character animations in Rive for Argo, the app’s cloud-shaped companion character. 🎯 Our goal The original demo version featured a raster-based character illustration. The goal of this project was to redraw and refine the character as scalable vector artwork in Rive, while bringing more personality and life to the mascot through animation. The final character needed to feel friendly, expressive, and emotionally supportive, aligning with the app’s focus on wellbeing and mental health. 🎨 Character Design I designed six character states for Argo: ・Hi — A welcoming introduction shown when users first open the app. ・Note — An animation displayed while users are writing their thoughts. ・Clear ・Sad ・Angry ・Anxiety The last four states represent different moods and include corresponding weather-themed background animations.     Website Redesign & Multilingual Wix Website | Southern Cross Language Institute
    A complete website redesign for Southern Cross Language Institute, a language school in Christchurch, New Zealand. The project included a migration from WordPress to Wix Studio, a restructured sitemap and information architecture, and a multilingual user experience designed to better serve prospective students, parents, and education partners. While maintaining a clean and professional visual design, subtle micro animations were introduced to enhance the user experience and improve engagement throughout the website. Custom illustrations, lightweight Rive animations, and video content were created specifically for the project to support navigation, highlight key information, and add personality without distracting from the content. The result is a modern multilingual website that balances clarity, accessibility, and visual interest. To support parents and prospective host families, information and downloadable resources were organised for easy access, while original video content showcasing Christchurch and local life helped communicate the experience of studying and living in New Zealand.     Mercury is a New Zealand-based multi-product utility retailer that provides electricity generation, as well as electricity, gas, broadband, and mobile services. For this project, I worked with Daniel from the Auckland-based creative agency While and For. Together, we created 3D animations for the website and interactive animations using Rive for Mercury’s newly launched Safety Intelligence (SQ) program.
