Berenice Vallejo, originally from Mexico City, holds a degree in Design and Visual Communication from the Autonomous Metropolitan University in Mexico City, a Master’s degree in Arts and Design from the Autonomous University of Mexico, and a professor at the same institution in the area of Continuing Education, from 2017 to 2019 at the Antigua Academia de San Carlos, developing the first Tattoo Diploma at the University. Career development in advertising agencies specializing in large-format printing and packaging from 2002 to 2010, development of a personal project Bere & Bere and artistic freelance in digital illustration since 2002 for various publishing houses, design and art for musical groups, art toy intervention with international exhibitions, Conferences and Workshops nationwide in various university institutions in Mexico, Editorial coordination of a specialized tattoo publication for 6 years “Tatuarte en la Piel” by Editorial Mango, research and event development at the Antigua Academia de San Carlos on Tattoo, co-founder of the tattoo studio Octattoo Studio since 2010, after surviving breast cancer with a diagnosis in 2010, she began performing restorative aesthetic tattoos for 14 years for women who suffered from breast cancer after mastectomy, working as an external representative for public and private institutes, hospitals in the country. Participation in various national publications, conferences and interviews for the most important media in Mexico and some international ones as a cancer survivor and restorative aesthetic tattoos. Spokesperson for Vans International in 2019 for the CoppaFeel project, an English foundation that promotes early detection of breast cancer through various programs. She is currently a PhD student in the Graduate Unit of the Faculty of Arts and Design, conducting research on “Restorative Aesthetic Tattooing.”
