I am Ben Osborn, a writer, songwriter, composer and sound designer originally from Oxford, now based in Berlin. My work blends poetic folk, electronic textures and classical influences, weaving ethereal strings, electronic beats, dreamlike piano and emotionally rich stories. My debut album, Letters from the Border (2019), drew comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Björk and was nominated for an International Songwriting Award. Since then I have released Studies EP (2022) and co-written Alex Stolze’s 2024 Raash ve Ruach, while continuing to compose for theatre, dance and performance, write libretti for opera, and run Open Music Lab in Berlin to provide free education for marginalized music creators.
