As Retail Sales Manager for PMT at the Salford flagship store, I led the guitar section with expert product knowledge spanning manufacturing history, specifications and suitability. I contributed to the store’s profits while navigating company changes, mentored team members, managed stock replenishment, and liaised with reps globally to advise on products. I optimized retail displays and stayed current on sales and distribution trends, attending product fairs and maintaining up-to-date knowledge. As a senior team member I mentored colleagues and maintained strong team dynamics in a high-pressure environment. I consistently delivered strong results, averaging around £50k in sales per month and about £15k monthly profit, earning top sales recognition in the company on multiple occasions.

Sound Control was the main music retailer in Manchester, later part of PMT, expanding from a small independent to a multi-store national company. During my time there I witnessed and contributed to the online retail boom and the shift from analogue to digital recording and distribution. I thrived in a fast-paced environment, developing resilience and adaptability while delivering strong customer service and product knowledge.
