I’m a filmmaker and programmer who cares deeply about how films are made, how they’re shown, and how audiences experience them together. Over the past several years, my work at the historic Gardena Cinema has allowed me to combine those interests in a way that’s been both creatively fulfilling and professionally formative. At Gardena Cinema, I’ve had the opportunity to program and present classic and repertory films while helping cultivate a space where cinema is treated as a living art form rather than background entertainment. I’ve hosted and conducted onstage interviews with filmmakers including Sean Baker and Adam Marcus, focusing on craft, process, and the realities of sustaining a creative life in film. These conversations were designed to be accessible, thoughtful, and grounded, serving both the audience and the artists themselves. I’ve collaborated helping produce live events that blended film, comedy, and discussion. These experiences strengthened my ability to manage live programming, work closely with high-profile talent, and maintain an environment that feels professional, respectful, and creatively open. My background is rooted in hands-on production. I’m formally trained in film production and have worked across directing, cinematography, editing, lighting, and post-production in both narrative and commercial settings. I’ve also supported a wide range of projects as part of film crews throughout Los Angeles, which has given me a strong appreciation for collaboration, preparation, and the practical realities of making work under real constraints. What I bring is reliability, curiosity, and a genuine respect for the process. I value clear communication, thoughtful programming, and creating conditions where artists and audiences feel engaged rather than overwhelmed. Whether I’m behind a camera, on a stage, or coordinating an event, my goal is always the same: to support the work and let the film speak. Thank you for your time and consideration. I’d welcome the opportunity to contribute my experience, perspective, and enthusiasm wherever it can be useful.
