Hello!
I’m Brian Dillon, a musician, sound designer, composer and educator. I’m originally from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, but have been in Dublin for several years now.
I am a member of electronic music group Meltybrains? and have worked with a disparate range of artists and musicians over the last 10 years, including Anna B Savage, Jon Hopkins, Loah, Talos, Jamie Duffy and Kingfishr, among many others. I have performed at numerous international festivals such as SXSW and Iceland Airwaves and my music has previously been featured in Q Magazine, Boiler Room and Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist.
I also work as a professional sound artist and composer. My previous sound art work includes installations for Ireland’s Museum of Modern Art and The Wild Atlantic Way. As a composer, I have been commissioned in both the commercial, and public spheres, including work for Fáilte Ireland, Cavan County Council, the RCC in Letterkenny, the Source Arts Centre in Thurles, Dublin’s Abbey Theatre and the UK’s ITV. I have also created the music for a number of theatre and dance shows, short films and TV series and recently held a solo exhibition of sound-art work at the Horse Gallery in Dublin.
I have a passion for sound design and audio production, and bring all of my skills, knowledge and expertise into the studio, as well as always striving to bring positivity, passion and rigour to all projects and collaborations.
Despite the earnestness of much of my musical output, I am good craic (I swear).
