Industry Experience

Media & Entertainment, Professional Services, Other
    paper NYC Talks: Healthcare

NYC Talks was your classic man on the street series. Hosted by a comedian (Drennen Quinn) for a humorous take on heavy topics, the entire series was shot in a completely impromptu, unscripted fashion, necessitating the ability to start filming at a moments notice.

The edits were equally as freeform; weaving together the disparate parts of the shoot with only the main topic as the central thread of each video.

paper Conversations on Cloth: Cashmere Stretch

Gladson Ltd. of New York contracted me to one-man-band this social-first video discussing their new line of fabrics.

I set one Canon EOS Cinema Camera on a tripod for the master, plugged two Sony lavs into it, then operated the other Canon hand-held for close ups.

The editing process saw me taking notes about an industry I don’t have much experience in, and yet, still cutting together a finished product that made sense and was quickly approved for online release.

uniE608 Pushover (Short Film and Trailer)
A short film I wrote and then mounted almost entirely by myself, "Pushover" is a return to my cinematic roots, as well as the most current and cohesive example of my voice as a filmmaker. From budgeting, hiring crew, casting, location management, directing, and VFX compositing, "Pushover" saw me in a very wide variety of roles while overseeing the rest. The movie enjoyed a successful festival fun, screening at such notable festivals as Beyond Fest, deadCenter, and Edmonton International, winning awards at Montclair and Macon, and even receiving a write-up in MovieMaker Magazine. It had it's wide release on Omeleto. Awards: Best NJ Short (Montclair Film Festival) Best Narrative Short (Emberlight International Film Festival) Best Supernatural Film (New Hope Film Festival) The full movie is currently available here: https://vimeo.com/1057164696 filmdirector videoeditor video shortfilm filmproducer
    uniE608 Occupied
43 million views on YouTube shorts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suhI4v7DeXM Matthew Broussard (Conan, Fallon) had this wonderfully ridiculous premise for a video detailing an all-too-common problem with public bathrooms. David Ebert (Comedy Central, TruTV) was quickly enlisted to star and my team shot it in a few hours. The editing process truly honed my ability to cut any and all fat out of a project. We started with a 2 minute cut, but the goal was YouTube shorts, Instagram, and TikTok, so getting the video down to a minute was an amazing, in-the-field learning experience. The video ended up getting 43 million views on YouTube shorts and tripled my company's channel subscribers in a very short period of time. And yes, that is a real chainsaw going through a real door. videoeditor video youtube youtubeshorts viral
    uniE608 Nazranaa Diaries
I was approached by the owner of an Indian bridal store chain to help develop and execute India's answer to "Say Yes To The Dress". We went into the project wanting to do more than just entertain, we wanted to expose a Western audience to Eastern traditions. The pilot and first two episodes of "Nazranaa Diaries" alone eventually garnered over four million views on YouTube, leading to a TV deal with the Indian-centric North American cable channel "Colors". uniE608 First Looks
Producing lifestyle videos that showcased some of the more unique restaurants and bars in NYC gave me a chance to hone my commercial video and branding skills. As an added bonus, there were usually gourmet tidbits waiting for us at the end of each shoot. video videoeditor advert lifestyle
    uniE608 Max Fitness TV Spot
While working at a media company in New Jersey exclusively as an editor, this fun one came across my desk. The obvious goals were a frenetic pace and up-beat tempo to help sell the Max Fitness experience. videoeditor advert
    uniE608 Brenyama: Euphoria Love
Brenyama, a pop-punk band from New Jersey, was looking to do something similar to the psychedelic aesthetic of David Bowie's "Ashes to Ashes" music video for their first single. Instead of simply slapping on a few adjustment layers and calling it a day, I decided I wanted to take the idea a step further, modernize it, and finesse it. Enter my crash-course in extensive rotoscoping. I spent most of my free time over the better part of two months perfecting the VFX in After Effects. I couldn't be happier with the final result! video filmdirector videoeditor musicvideo vfx
    uniE608 Fabric Guy TV Spot
After the first two episodes of Nazranna Diaries, I was contracted by the same client to make a TV Spot for a separate fabric store he owned. Essentially one-man-band on this shoot, I operated a Glidecam 2000 (pre-Ronin days), made best use of available light, directed, edited, selected music, color corrected, and did the VFX. All in a days work! video videoeditor advert filmdirector
    uniE608 Hand Off
A playful parody of hostage movies, written by starring the ever-talented Nick Mestad. Co-starring Matthew Broussard. This one was a lot of fun to shoot! video filmdirector comedy sketchcomedy
