I’ve recently graduated from my study at Futureworks: University for Creative Industries (partner school being University of Lancashire) based in Manchester for the BA (Hons) Independent Filmmaking course where I wrote and directed two short films; Bruises & The Skeptic & The Alien for both pre-production and production on-set work experience. I also produced, script edited and was an assistant director for a short film “The Drop” (written and directed by Ryan Siddall). I won the Best Script award at my university for my ‘The Song of the Sparrow’ limited TV series script. See my CV for my previous projects. My experience has increased and verified writing craft, leadership skills, reliability, my major time management, organisational skills, ability to network from the ground up and easy follow-through with all tasks, as I psychologically have to finish everything I start. I’ve been developing my screenwriting craft, voice, creativity and style with my scripts and these student short films. I have experience working as a team on the story of a project, pitching a project (using a pitch deck), problem solving, researching, implementing feedback for story, proof-reading, consistently reading scripts, creating script reports for coverage and feedback and so much more. I have a burning passion for the craft of script writing. I take pride in the fact that I’m always learning more in every way possible. My way of writing is widely focused on internal depth, psychology, philosophy, pummelled with varied symbolism and messages. My genre concentration is all types of drama (with an eye for dystopian stories), coming of age, mystery and psychological thriller. My determination motivates me to be the best I can with self-actualisation. I'm an extremely focused, organised, reliable, hard worker, so I know I'll happily be able to achieve all the tasks of this role. I have an interest and ability to learn fast for any necessary procedures. I have high attention to detail, flexibility, integrity and the ability to work independently and, in a team, whilst feeling motivated. I have a pro-active attitude and an alert initiative, whilst always seeking the most efficient method. I believe a hardworking work ethic is the most significant quality in a person's growth and ability to achieve goals, and that's what I always intend to actionably be like. In my time on my Independent Filmmaking course, I've done plenty of productions and I've had to be a leader on them. I've had to prepare before the production to ensure everything we want to happen, happen. This has enhanced my organisational, communication and leadership skills, my ability to prioritise and balance my workload, problem solving skills, and have given me many skills that can translate onto any job. I’m currently seeking representation, gigs, any internships or opportunities, whilst writing a dystopian sci-fi drama novel.
