I’m Cass Jude, an Australian composer whose love for storytelling through music began in childhood. I first connected with music through drums and piano at my local church, surrounded by Gospel, Hymns, and Contemporary Christian music. By seventeen I was composing for a wider range of creative venues—media, live performance, spoken word, and dance—and at twenty-two I completed my first major project: a full Gospel/Christian album that confirmed my decision to pursue composition full time. My work spans orchestral music for media, songwriting, and contemporary production, always driven by emotive storytelling across genres. In 2023 I joined Rimon School of Music to study Jazz and Composition, but had to return home due to financial constraints and regional instability. In 2024 I split my time between Durban and Los Angeles on multiple projects, refining my orchestral voice and compositional craft, and I was selected as one of ten composers across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East for the Red Sea Festival Film Scoring Program, studying with leading figures such as Simon Franglen and James Shearman.
