I’m an Edinburgh-based illustrator creating bold, character-driven artwork inspired by British working-class culture, Scottish identity, football, music and history.
My distinctive style brings together Ukiyo-e, medieval manuscript art and contemporary British subculture, from skinheads, terrace culture and reggae/ska to Scottish history, pubs and everyday working-class life. The result is artwork that feels traditional and familiar, but with a distinctly modern edge.
I work digitally in Procreate and specialise in editorial illustration, posters, album/artwork, cultural campaigns, publishing, children’s illustration and commissioned artwork.
I was also commissioned by Dream Teams Books to illustrate “Go To Scotland”, a children’s book celebrating Scotland, family and football. The project involved creating 35 pages of illustrations, including scenes featuring Hampden Park and Scottish family life, while working within an established publishing brief and visual direction.
Alongside my commercial work, I’ve built an audience of 11,000+ followers on Instagram, with individual pieces reaching tens of thousands of views. My work has also been featured across independent cultural, music and creative projects.
What I bring to a project is more than technical illustration: I care about the story, cultural references and feeling behind an image. I want my work to make people stop scrolling, look twice and feel something.
If you’re looking for illustration with personality, cultural identity and a strong visual point of view, I’d love to hear about your project.
