My name is Christopher (Chris) Doke. I graduated from Seneca college in 2021, my college education placed a heavy emphasis on solid drawing principles and 2D animation. In addition to animation I also excelled at layout and location design.I have worked a variety of jobs over my time in the industry. On my first production “Best and Bester” at Nelvana I started out as an animation revisionist fixing the animation of others and making revisions based on producer feedback. I was quickly promoted to full on animator after a month on board. I have good time management skills and always finished my quota on time or earlier allowing me to take on extra work. In addition to animation I have also worked in other departments as well. While working at Taqqut Productions on a yet to be released show I was able to work on Layouts and Storyboards. While working on layouts I helped to create the look of the backgrounds. The show did not have a proper style guide, only previous layouts from the pilot. I helped to create backgrounds of the tundra in various seasons in a style similar to a children’s storybook. I also used the backgrounds to help give the characters personality and depth.The studio was also impressed with my storyboards. After boarding for short game segments I was put on as a board artist for the main story segments. My time in the industry has been exhilarating. I have gotten to experience much in a short time. I have loved every minute of it and I am excited to experience even more. I hope we can work together to make something incredible.
