Chris Nab, an Indigenous rap artist, producer, and sound recorder from Kawawachikamach who now calls Montreal home. I blend Indigenous identity with hip‑hop, trap, and folk influences, and I’m one half of the Indigenous rap duo Violent Ground. I’ve released multiple projects, performed at Indigenous and Canadian festivals, and collaborated with artists such as Mattmac and Melody McArthur. I also lead music production and songwriting workshops with youth, and I continually record, mix, and master for myself and others while building creative ventures for artists in our communities. Beyond making music, I focus on developing business initiatives for artists and creatives, contribute to film and media projects, and support on-location sound work. My experience spans sound design, composition, and mix/master across diverse projects—from documentaries to festival stages—driven by a passion for Indigenous storytelling and community empowerment. Samples of my work are available upon request, Thank you.
