I'm a 26 year old creative, brand strategist and owner of Blaakgeenz Concepts, a company that focuses on PR & marketing, photography and events, based in South Africa. After completing my studies at the University of Johannesburg, were I gained the most knowledge in the media industry, I am now one of the most exciting event’s prospects around Durban, South Africa. I'm a Bachelor of Commerce graduate but my love for events management, visual and audio art, marketing and PR didn’t take long to play out in university. Having been involved in numerous campus events as a Red Bull ambassodor, events coordinator and photographer, I then started my very own company, Blaakgeenz Concepts. I then moved from Johannesburg to Durban and become a well respected local photographer, capturing moments from alsorts of events. Soon, I was approached by the clubby latino bar – Cubana as their official photographer. Adding to that, another local spot, the Wave Café soon acquired my services. After a succesful run as a freelance photographer, I then introduced Public Relations and Marketing to my company. I quickly created my own fan base with my exciting concepts and resulted in me hosting my own events. Currently, I'm hosting “Wavey Sundays”, a lifestyle event aimed at giving talented young people a platform, influence urban social behaviours and a unique experience, service and security. The lifestyle event is dedicated to enviromentally conscious hospitality, suitable for quality time and entertainment.
