Hello! My name is Chloe. I work under the stage name Clumsy Hands. I have been working as an illustrator since early 2023. My style is intricate, isometric, colourful maps filled with lots of detail, hidden easter-eggs and local delights. I call these illustrations “Clumsy Maps”. In the past year, things have really taken off, and I have gone full-time as an artist, working with clients such as RMIT University (Education), Visit Victoria (Tourism), Sportsgirl (Fashion) and recently wrapped a project with Hardie Grant (publishing), set to launch next May in bookshops all around the world. Alongside working with clients, I have exhibited at multiple large design fairs throughout Australia (such as Big Design Market and Finders Keepers) and at the global Affordable Art Fair, successfully selling out of my large original Melbourne map paintings.
