    Constructs is an immersive audio work that is made using the unique sounds of Bristol's pinnacle nightclubs Drawing from the cities landscapes and architecture, structures and textures are developed in an abstracted sonic form Mirroring these gritty and granular features, the work reveals the intricate workings of a city through its musical subcultures, Using archival rave recordings and extreme audio processing techniques, the project offers a multi-dimensional, atemporal perspective of the cities underground music scene. A concept born from introspection, Constructs is an answer to two questions What does club culture mean to the individual? How does that meaning manifest externally? By breaking apart the sounds and allowing space to contemplate a sense of timelessness emerges, which echos the sensory bonds between clubbers, DJ's promoters and venues, Bristol's underground music scene owes itself not just to the artists and visionaries that created it's sound, but also to the venues and spaces that have enabled this unique cultural sodality to flourish. The venues have been represented sonically through the use of recorded impulses, a process that can be likened to a sonic photograph or footprint of a particular space Throughout the works the impulse responses of these spaces have been used in a myriad of creative ways, imprinting the sonic characteristics of these venues on all other materials.โ€ฆ
