I am Daffa Fatih Mahardika, a 2D illustrator and visual communication design student with a passion for creating expressive, colorful, and easy-to-understand artwork. My work explores character design, fantasy illustration, visual storytelling, book covers, environments, and cultural themes. I enjoy developing ideas from research and sketches into polished illustrations that communicate clearly and invite people to engage with the story.
This project was a lot of fun because it allowed me to explore various distinct styles while working within a single, unified theme. I was tasked with creating several islands, each with its own unique characteristicsand that is precisely what made this project both exciting and challenging.
it’s kinda challenging to finished this pieces, it takes more than 40 hours+, But i finally made it, really proud of myself to be able consistent with the coloring and the touching.
Completed an internship as a concept artist and book cover artist. Created character concepts, environment illustrations, visual development work, book cover designs, and commissioned illustrations for different creative briefs. Projects included a maritime and fisheries illustration for Pelindo, book cover concepts, and visual development for narrative characters and settings.
Created book cover illustrations based on creative briefs, concepts, and project requirements. Collaborated with the creative team to develop visual concepts, communicated throughout the creative process, incorporated feedback and revisions, managed projects from initial concepts through final artwork, and maintained consistent visual quality while meeting project deadlines.
