I am an experienced podcaster and media production instructor with a pretty good following on TikTok if I do say so myself. ;-P I would love to be the voice your next project, or produce your podcast for you.

I currently teach media production at a post-secondary institution in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Among the subjects I cover with my students are advertising, audio production, voiceover, podcasting, and roles in the traditional radio industry.

As a former news reader and journalist, I have worked for CBC, CTV, and Global News in Canada. I’ve read live newscasts, voiced reports, created weather forecasts and much more in my role at those news outlets.

I have also been a podcaster for more than 13 years. I have at least three podcasts going at any one time, and I produce all of them myself (plus a few more for friends!) I can help you produce and promote your podcast, including both video and audio content. I can write your show notes, include relevant links, and make sure your podcast is sent out to all available podcast platforms.

Super Pulp Science Podcast (Co-Host & Producer)

As producer of the Super Pulp Science podcast, I have edited and posted nearly 300 episodes about working artists making a living from their art. I am present at recording sessions in the artists' studio space. I then process the audio, edit for clarity and flow, and add fun movie clips to keep the audience engaged. I produce the Super Pulp Science podcast using Adobe Audition. I also write the podcast show notes and include any relevant links and guest information.

Movie Reviews on TikTok and YouTube as Dan Watches Movies

I have been writing, voicing, and editing short movie review videos and posting them to TikTok for several years now, and have recently begun uploading them to my growing YouTube channel. I try to keep each video to 90 seconds or less. Usually, they're just a quick summary of the plot, something I liked about it, something I didn't like, and an overall recommendation on whether or not you should watch the film. I have built a small following of nearly 15K by posting these videos, along with my daily movie trivia quizzes. This project has helped me develop my scriptwriting and voiceover skills, as well as my video editing abilities.

CTV News Winnipeg Skywatch Weather

As an Editorial Producer at CTV News Winnipeg, I created weather forecast videos for the station's website and to be shared through social media. This involved curating viewer-submitted weather photos, creating a video slideshow, writing a weather forecast script based on Environment Canada data, recording and editing my own voiceover in Audacity, and assembling the final video in Canva. I did this every Saturday and Sunday for more than a year before I left CTV News in January 2024. explainervideo
