The system is delivered as a standalone desktop application that performs real-time facial detection and recognition using live camera input. Attendance is logged automatically with precise timestamps, supports check-in and check-out workflows, and includes safeguards against duplicate or fraudulent entries within short time windows.
A dedicated admin dashboard enables staff monitoring, attendance reporting, and system oversight, while a streamlined user interface allows fast and intuitive authentication. Facial biometric data is securely stored using encrypted representations, ensuring privacy, data integrity, and compliance with internal security requirements.
The solution is built in Python (3.7+) using OpenCV, TensorFlow, Keras, Dlib, and the face_recognition API, with a Tkinter-based GUI optimized for real-time performance.
