CupCal is a digital platform created to simplify how youth football teams plan, manage, and participate in tournaments, matches, and training camps worldwide.
In this project, I was responsible for branding, UI, and UX design, shaping both the visual identity and the overall product experience. The ambition was to create a tool that works equally well for coaches, team managers, players, and referees, while remaining clear, fast, and reliable in high-pressure match environments.
From a UX perspective, the focus was on structure and usability. CupCal helps teams plan seasons, discover tournaments, coordinate schedules, and manage logistics in one unified system. Information that is often fragmented across emails, spreadsheets, and messaging apps was consolidated into a clear and intuitive flow. Special attention was given to speed and clarity, ensuring the platform works smoothly on the sidelines as well as in planning sessions.
On the UI and brand side, I developed a visual language that feels professional, energetic, and trustworthy. The design balances a modern sports aesthetic with strong readability and clear hierarchy. This approach extends across the team management platform, the tournament app, and the referee companion app, creating a consistent experience where match results and scores can be recorded and synchronized in real time.
CupCal is designed to reduce friction around youth football logistics and allow teams and organizers to focus on what matters most: the game, development, and fair play.
