The first installment to the self-released “Epicaricacy” E.P., ‘Paranoia’ captures the suspense of being watched or the unending nervousness of anxiety. Starting with a punchy and suspenseful arpeggiating synthesizer complimented by a deep, bellowing cello sets the stage for the delicately chilling yearning piano to carry the story the impact only progresses from as a dark story becomes revealed. This song and the rest of the “Epicaricacy” E.P. would be a perfect match for a True Crime documentary or show of any kind alongside any horror related content.
The second installment to the “Epicaricacy” E.P., and with a literal translation of “the pain”, La Douleur Part 1 encompasses slow suffering and misery with a drawn-out, mournful cello section met with an ever-strengthening piano that sounds as dark as it is fragile. Imagine this song as a killer slowly preys and tortures his victim to crescendo an absolute end. La Douleur is the perfect touch to any True Crime related story or dark content in general. #composer #filmscore #horror #suspense #truecrime #darkmood #mixengineer #masteringengineer #recordingengineer #piano #strings #synth #pianist
