I am a London-based audio all-rounder with a background in theatre and live events. I have a particular interest in cinema and archival audio, and I started freelancing after taking voluntary redundancy from the BBC in 2023. Since then I have worked in roles including producer, editor and sound designer for clients such as The Observer, Bauer Media and The Economist. At the BBC I worked as a Studio Manager at the World Service and wrote and produced two long-form documentary series for BBC Radio 4 Extra. I have also taught English abroad to children and adults in the disability sector. Through my diverse experience I have built up a wide and comprehensive skill set and am especially versed in studio and OB recording, editing, sound design, pitching, working with talent and live mixing.
As a writer I am highly literate and have produced a broad range of material including scripts, descriptive content, plot synopses, publicity copy and presenter briefs, and I can adapt my style to fit different briefs and audiences. I have become an experienced researcher through my own independent podcasts focused on film and social history, with opportunities such as providing audio commentary as a bonus feature on a BFI Blu-ray release. I have spent my career meeting deadlines and collaborating with public and private sector clients as well as on B2B podcasts in the arts, education and business, and I continue to produce Kino Quickies, a podcast recorded in front of a live cinema audience, along with Soho Bites and Mural Morsels.
