This is my 20 minute animated pilot from my series, a dark satirical cartoon that dives into internet culture, influencer obsession, and dystopian tech.

In this clip, Doug — a washed-up wannabe influencer — finds himself trapped in a corporate “content detox” facility run by brand enforcers. It features high-quality 2D animation, lip sync, sound design, and smooth character motion. The tone blends humor, sarcasm, and social commentary in a style inspired by shows like Rick and Morty.

This animated scene is from Doug vs. The Algorithm, a dark comedy cartoon series I created. The project explores themes of digital burnout, content addiction, and corporate control — all with satirical, Adult Swim–style humor.

In this scene, I focused heavily on:

Smooth, expressive animation using frame-by-frame cleanup

Strong character acting and dynamic body movement

Clean line work, layered backgrounds, and snappy timing

Camera moves and staging to boost the tension

It was animated in Clip Studio Paint, and rated 8.3/10 for overall visual quality by an external reviewer. No AI, no templates — just stylized, handcrafted 2D cartoon animation.
