Eduardo García is an award-nominated audio engineer, producer, and educator from Bogotá, Colombia, with over two decades of international experience in music production and live entertainment.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music with an emphasis in Audio from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a Master’s in Audio Production from Westminster University, London. His early research on Sonic Solutions for Latin Percussion led him to co-produce a world music album with Grammy Award–winning producer KC Porter.
In 2006, Eduardo’s engineering work on Jorge Celedón & Jimmy Zambrano – Grandes Éxitos en Vivo received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album, marking the first time that category was introduced in the award’s history.
Throughout his career, Eduardo has collaborated with renowned artists such as Totó la Momposina, J Balvin, Superlitio, Jorge Celedón, and Ventino, and has contributed to major productions across Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
His live sound and production credits include:
• Front of House Engineer and Production Manager for Totó la Momposina, the “Queen of Cumbia.”
• Systems Production Manager (Audio Chief) for Crystal Cruises, overseeing all shipboard audio systems and mixing productions such as Rocketman, Crystal on Broadway, and Crystal in Motion.
• Sound Engineer for AnyStage Ltd. aboard MSC World America, as part of the inaugural production cast, mixing large-scale theatrical shows including Queen Symphonic, Whitney Houston Tribute, and Cinesonic.
• Audio Technician for Norwegian Cruise Line, mixing Broadway-style productions such as Kinky Boots, Footloose, After Midnight, Million Dollar Quartet, Burn the Floor, Choir of Man, and Elements.
As an educator, Eduardo has taught at leading Colombian institutions such as the Escuela de Audio y Música Fernando Sor, the Universidad de San Buenaventura, and UNAD (Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia). He has guided courses in live sound, mixing, sound design, and music production, and directed numerous undergraduate theses, bridging academic training with real-world audio industry experience.
