Emily Lavin Leverett is a fantasy author and English professor. Originally trained as a medievalist, she still teaches medieval lit as well as creative writing. She has two published series, The Wolf and the Nun and the Eisteddfod Chronicles, both of which are character driven, impactful narratives. Both feature strong protagonists who fight for justice, resist unjust systems, and grow. Her work is influenced by her medieval studies, but also draws from both popular fiction and gaming tropes. An enjoyer of RPG and JRPGs, along with other narrative-driven games, she is looking for a chance to expand her creative writing and popular culture scholarship writing for video games. She has also worked as a developmental editor and a lead/acquisitions editor in both fiction and non-fiction, including co-editing multiple volumes of short fiction in the speculative fiction (SF/F/Horror) genre.
