I'm Pól McLernon, a transdisciplinary researcher and practitioner working at the intersection of architecture, landscape, sound, and critical theory. My work investigates resonance, vibration, and spatial acoustics as operative processes through which environments, bodies, and cultural memory interact. With formal training in architecture and research architecture, and extensive experience across artistic research, performance, and large-scale cultural production, my practice bridges analytical rigour and perceptual enquiry. Over the past decade I have contributed to academic research, funded residencies, and international design and installation projects, including work associated with the Royal Opera House, the Venice Biennale, and Arts Council–supported programmes in Ireland. My current trajectory consolidates independent research development toward long-horizon projects on ecological systems, embodied cognition, and more-than-human spatial relations. I am preparing doctoral research focused on acoustic resonance as a living landscape process, while seeking interim roles that value critical thinking, technical fluency, and transdisciplinary collaboration.
