Work Experience
Free-lance 3D Animator at Unstandard Studio
February 10, 2025 - July 26, 2025As a freelance 3D Animator at Unstandard Studio in Quebec, I had the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, from realistic animation for an immersive theater experience to more stylized, cartoon worlds such as Tout Doux.
These missions strengthened both my technical and organizational skills, as I consistently delivered high-quality work under tight deadlines while adapting to remote collaboration and time zone differences. Notably, I animated 3,400 frames in just two weeks for Tout Doux, maintaining precision and creativity throughout.
I also worked on impactful projects for clients such as the Canadian Red Cross, including an educational interactive game and a preventive short film, which allowed me to refine my acting and lip-sync animation skills. Most recently, I animated a teaser for the video game Héros du Mont Dragon, bringing to life dynamic character transformations into Chinese dragons—an experience that enriched my versatility across diverse animation styles and storytelling approaches.
3D Animator Intership at Umix Studio
June 1, 2023 - August 31, 2023I completed a remote internship at Umix Studio, working on their franchise Pro Basketball Manager. My main task was to create and integrate new realistic animations for the game’s upcoming release. To achieve this, I first had to redo the character rig in Maya, before creating different animation cycles organized into several categories:
Walking and running cycles: energetic, tired, etc.
Dribbling cycles: between the legs, hand-to-hand, etc.
Shooting cycles: from various distances, including dunking and hanging on the rim.
Specific animations: tip-off, referee behaviors (walking, jogging, whistling, raising an arm, etc.), coach movements (walking, calling players to show them a play).
Players’ behaviors and expressions: while sitting on the bench, waiting, or to differentiate their attitudes.
After producing several animations in Maya and attempting to integrate them into Unity, we encountered compatibility issues: the software did not recognize the rig, which would have required adding additional lines of code and caused significant delays. As a result, I had to learn 3ds Max entirely on my own, despite having no prior experience with it. Within just two days, I became comfortable with the software and successfully completed all the animations on time.
This internship allowed me to demonstrate my adaptability, fast learning abilities, and autonomy in the face of unexpected challenges.
