Hi! I’m Emma Trowbridge, a Tokyo-based composer and educator with a background rooted in Boston and Medford. I write music for film and video games, and I design engaging curricula for children, blending creativity with developmental learning. I’m pursuing a Master of Arts in Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University, with a focus on how music supports early learning and development. In my work, I love shaping collaborative, hands-on experiences for kids and helping them discover their own musical voices. When I’m not composing or teaching, I enjoy exploring new game and film projects, mentoring young musicians, and bringing imaginative classroom ideas to life through thoughtful curriculum design. My goal is to fuse artistic practice with education to inspire curiosity, resilience, and joy in learners of all ages.

    paper A Day A Dog

A Day, a Dog (original title: Un jour, un chien) is a acclaimed 1986 wordless picture book by Belgian author-illustrator Gabrielle Vincent. It uses expressive, black-and-white charcoal sketches to tell the poignant, emotional story of a dog abandoned on a highway, following its journey through fear to finding a new home.

    paper Sword of Atlas

Sword of Atlas is a tactical role-playing game that mixes grid-based combat with a real-time action meter, so battles are strategic but still move quickly. It follows a party of characters traveling through the floating isles of Atlas, with a story built around a mysterious talking sword and an evil empire. I composed two pieces, “The Son of Zhamen-Gor” and “Temer’s Rage”.
