The Fireweed Fields
This piece was a starter to a series of paintings that center around the theme of "Fantasy in Alaska" where I bring the wonderous views of Alaska and bring an element of fantasy to our "Last Frontier". Being born and raised in Alaska made me appreciate the glorious sceneries in the fantasy genre and I wanted to show that those fantastical views are not as far as we think. I like to express my panic state as an elemental trying to keep herself from burning the beauty around her and instead, deciding to burn myself.
