I am a first year composition student at London college of music, studying music for film which includes elements such as subtractive synthesis, composition and scoring to brief. I am also a confident grade 7 acoustic guitarist and have a passion for songwriting and collaboration as a whole. This was a really fun project to work on with artist Henry Desira, which was to produce his first single, a lo-fi meets indie chill spoken word piece, which would then become a part of his debut album coming soon.
I fully produced every element of this track, performed the chorus vocals and produced a mix and master that adheres to the industry standard.
The same page now features on every streaming platform and even recently featured on BBC’s music introducing radio show.
I am really happy with the result of this project and look forward to collaborating more with Henry and more artists in the future.

The window seat
For me, this song is essentially a string of thoughts, a stream of consciousness that is muddle of words about the people around me and the various things I think about on the bus ride to and from college. I was inspired by the sounds of artists like Parcels and Jacob Collier who experiment with harmony and arrangement, both of which I wanted to incorporate into this piece.

This story follows a fisherman and a seagull in their conflict for fish, which eventually ends with the moon collapsing and a tsunami. I used the acoustic guitar rhythms to add energy to the piece, alongside the harmonising strings, which drive the track especially in the buildup near the end.
I knew that location was an important part of this brief so choose to include instrumentation that would fit with the presumed European coastline feel - with the accordion making an appearance in the quieter sections introducing interesting textures.
