uniE608 Sound Design and Foley – Riding a Bike
In this demo, I created the complete sound design and foley for a person riding a bicycle. Every detail, from the wheels rolling over different surfaces to the clicks of the chain and gear changes, was carefully crafted to enhance the sense of realism and motion. The project combines foley recordings, processed effects, and layered sounds to create an immersive and authentic audio experience.
uniE608 Cinematic Destruction – Sound Design Contest Entry
This was my entry for a cinematic sound design challenge. The video features a dramatic sequence of natural and supernatural destruction, including lightning strikes, seismic ruptures, and collapsing terrain. I was responsible for the full sound redesign and final mixing. Objective: To deliver a powerful, immersive soundscape that builds tension and release through detailed audio layers — from distant rumbles and crackling energy to massive impacts and debris. Creative Approach: I used a blend of synthesized textures and organic recordings to capture the raw force of nature and mystical energy. Sub-heavy elements, distorted impacts, reverse risers, and thunderous tails were layered carefully to match the intensity of the visuals without losing clarity. This project allowed me to focus on impact timing, spatial depth, and high-pressure dynamics — all essential skills for cinematic trailers and action sequences.
uniE608 Cosmic Whale – Experimental Sound Design
This was a personal project designed to explore the fusion of organic creature sound design with cosmic, ambient textures. The visual features a massive whale gracefully swimming through space — a surreal blend of nature and fantasy. Though this wasn’t a client commission, I treated it as an opportunity to refine my skills in building emotionally driven atmospheres for dreamlike visuals. Objective: To create a vast, immersive soundscape that captures the awe and serenity of a space-faring creature. The sound needed to be soft yet expansive, blending whale-inspired tonalities with celestial ambience. Creative Approach: I combined deep, slowed-down vocal layers to emulate whale calls, subtle reverberated pulses, airy pads, and ambient textures to evoke motion through space. I also used stereo widening and gentle low-end emphasis to give it scale and weight. This project allowed me to push boundaries and craft a sound world that feels both peaceful and otherworldly.
uniE608 Collapse of the Ember Core
This sound design project was created for a visual featuring a molten, particle-based sphere that evolves and collapses into a black hole. The client needed an immersive and cinematic sound that could bring weight, texture, and transformation to this abstract yet powerful animation. Objective: The goal was to sonically portray the transformation of this coarse, lava-like mass — composed of glowing red particles — from a static state into a gravitational singularity. The challenge was to capture the gritty, unstable energy of the form without overwhelming the viewer. Challenges & Solutions: The biggest challenge was finding the right balance between granular textures (to evoke the sand-like material) and deep, low-end rumbles that build anticipation. To solve this, I layered multiple custom-designed elements: High-frequency crackling for heat and tension Midrange friction using granular synthesis Deep sub-bass impacts for the collapse moment I also used automated spatial effects to enhance the feeling of implosion and motion. The final result delivers a dynamic, evolving soundscape that adds both realism and drama to the visual.
uniE608 Epic Transformation – Ice Lion Sound Design
For this 2D pixel art game project, I created the complete sound design for a character transforming into an ice lion. Every sound, from cracking ice and powerful roars to the frozen environment, was designed to emphasize the character’s strength and majesty. The work combines foley, layered sounds, and synthetic textures, making the transformation feel impactful, epic, and immersive, enhancing the player’s visual experience.
uniE608 Sound Design for 2D Pixel Art Character
In this project, I created the complete sound design for a 2D pixel art character, focused on their main weapon: an energy-charged chain. The sounds were carefully crafted to highlight the dynamic motion, the aggressive impact of the attack, and to match the vibrant visual aesthetic of the sprite. Key sound design elements: Energy Chain: A blend of processed metallic textures with synthesis and distortion to represent the chain’s energized whip-like nature. Projectile Movement: Layers of sharp whooshes, compressed air, and filtered noise for a fast, fluid trajectory. Impact: A heavy, crisp hit with sparkling accents to emphasize power and weight. Arcade Aesthetic: The sound design stays faithful to retro and modern pixel-art games, ideal for indie titles, beat 'em ups, or fast-paced action games. Estimated production time: ~4 hours Perfect for developers looking to bring their characters to life with expressive, stylized sound effects tailored to their visuals and gameplay.
uniE608 2D Pixel Art Game Mockup – Combat Sound Design II
This sound design was created for a mockup animation in a 2D pixel art game, focused on a combat sequence where the character, after a short charge, leaps into the air and slams their sword into the ground. Purpose The goal was to deliver an intense, clearly readable audio experience that conveys the weight and power of the movement, even at an early animation stage. This allows developers to assess the sense of impact, pacing, and emotional engagement before final visuals are complete. Sound Design Approach I crafted a progressive charge sound to build tension, followed by an airborne whoosh effect, and a deep, resonant impact when the sword meets the ground. The mix blends retro-inspired clarity with modern detail, ensuring the action feels powerful and satisfying. Even as a prototype, the design adds dynamism, force, and a tangible physicality to the sequence’s key moment.
uniE608 2D Pixel Art Game Mockup – Combat Sound Design
This sound design was developed as part of a mockup animation for a 2D pixel art game. The goal was to bring dynamic feedback and energy to an early-stage combat sequence, where a character dashes forward and launches a rotating, circular energy attack. Objective: To provide fast, responsive sound cues that enhance player feedback, even in a rough animation stage. This helps developers test gameplay rhythm and emotional impact early in the pipeline. Creative Approach: I designed quick dash sounds, stylized blade-like effects, and a spinning energy sound for the circular attack. The sounds were kept clean and readable, tailored to match the retro aesthetic of pixel visuals while feeling modern and satisfying. Even as a rough draft, the result brings a clear sense of impact and movement to the sequence.
uniE608 Original Composition & Sound Design for Moloko Drink
For this Moloko Drink commercial, I composed the original music and created the complete sound design, aiming to capture the brand’s modern energy and youthful spirit. Every sound and rhythm was crafted to match the visual freshness and dynamic flow, blending electronic textures, bright percussion, and precise effects that enhance the brand’s identity. The result is a vibrant piece full of movement that reflects the unique style and attitude of Moloko.
