BACKGROUND I live in the Bronx, playing gigs in the Lower East Side, Brooklyn and Queens with my two indie rock / punk bands Pacer and Faculty. I have over ten years of experience producing, mostly with Ableton Live (though I am proficient also in Logic Pro and FL). I have extensive works in genres as disparate as EDM, hip hop and rock - whose lineage extends back to such pioneers of experimentalism eclecticism as Steve Reich, Chuck Berry, Brian Eno, Kate Bush, and Jimi Hendrix. OVERVIEW OF EXPERTISE As the work on my portfolio will showcase, my ability to produce and play in a way that brings forth the strongest elements in a song unites my creative endeavors. The eponymous Faculty album was a project I engineered purposefully to have a great deal of "room" sound, as banter and movement in the recording space during the 1 week session lent itself to the album's loose, DIY feel, while the production still adheres to standards of compression that are mandatory for the modern listener. My rock albums under Faculty and Staff (on soundcloud and bandcamp) are engineered, by contrast, very claustrophobically. Across my instrumental works can be heard a great breadth of auditory landscapes and innovative production techniques. HOW WE CAN WORK I can give you access to a DIY recording space here in my apartment in the Bronx, near Rose Hill's Fordham campus, though the daily rate for that will be higher, because this makeshift studio will have access to a variety of in-studio musicians other than me, including a drummer, a keyboardist, and a mandolin player / lap steel guitarist. I will of course be willing to provide session work as a guitarist/ bassist/ vocalist/ songwriter no matter where or how we convene. I often prefer midi controlled drums, because, despite the tedium of inputting drum-hits one at a time, I find that the precision achieved in the end result is well worth it, while the organic intensity of a live drummer can be emulated through note velocity and strategic placement of drum hits. Nevertheless, Ben Miraglia, drummer of Pacer (the finest rock percussionist I've had the pleasure of playing with) can be enlisted if we want a reliable session drummer. To write, record and produce a rock song in a single session with me is very doable. My help will be as hands on as you'd like. I can lay down all the tracks if you have a song idea, I can help you write lyrics, or I can simply set up the hardware, mic you up and let you rip. LINKS _Website not available. BACKGROUND
I live in the Bronx, playing gigs in the Lower East Side, Brooklyn and Queens with my two indie rock / punk bands Pacer and Faculty.

OVERVIEW OF EXPERTISE
As the work on my portfolio will showcase, my ability to produce and play in a way that brings forth the strongest elements in a song unites my creative endeavors. The eponymous Faculty album was a project I engineered purposefully to have a great deal of “room” sound, as banter and movement in the recording space during the 1 week session lent itself to the album’s loose, DIY feel, while the production still adheres to standards of compression that are mandatory for the modern listener. My rock albums under Faculty and Staff (on soundcloud and bandcamp) are engineered, by contrast, very claustrophobically. Across my instrumental works can be heard a great breadth of auditory landscapes and innovative production techniques.

HOW WE CAN WORK
I can give you access to a DIY recording space here in my apartment in the Bronx, near Rose Hill’s Fordham campus, though the daily rate for that will be higher, because this makeshift studio will have access to a variety of in-studio musicians other than me, including a drummer, a keyboardist, and a mandolin player / lap steel guitarist.

Nevertheless, Ben Miraglia, drummer of Pacer (the finest rock percussionist I’ve had the pleasure of playing with) can be enlisted if we want a reliable session drummer. To write, record and produce a rock song in a single session with me is very doable.

My help will be as hands on as you’d like. I can lay down all the tracks if you have a song idea, I can help you write lyrics, or I can simply set up the hardware, mic you up and let you rip.

uniE613 Of Human Waste: a novel
#novel A novel about how the life (and death) of a hopeless drug addict crosses paths with a newly single young influencer. Featuring a constantly shifting narratorial perspective that seeks to reflect the fragmentation of the contemporary subject's interiority under late capitalism, my novel explores the polyvalent phenomenon of "getting wasted." Due to its Schizoanalytic approach to narrative, the text aims to be comprehensible and engaging to readers starting from any given point in the book at which there is a double paragraph break. The text contains exposition inspired as much by the writings of such (post)modern writers as Flannery O'Connor, Thomas Pynchon, Samuel Delany, William Gibson, George Saunders, Kelly Link, Cormac McCarthy, David Foster Wallace, Mary Gaitskill and Jonathons Lethem and Franzen (e.g. chapters 2 or 6) as it takes influence from those so-called continental philosophers and social critics variously embraced or ignored by US academies, like Hegel, Marx, Freud, Jacques Derrida, Deleuze & Guattari, Michelle Foucault, Nick Land, Fredric Jameson, Susan Sontag, Slavoj Zizek and David Graeber (e.g. chapters 9 and 12). With an eye towards a collective acceptance of the inexplicable inevitability of the end of the world, the novel's content ranges from penetrating and often-shocking character study (e.g. chapters 3 and 11) to fun, fast-paced and less abstruse plot development (all chapters include a little bit of this) to slightly vulgar academic writing complete with footnotes (also scattered throughout every chapter). A good showcase of my writing in one 222 page document.
    uniE603 Billy Goat
I Engineered and Produced this album (https://www.twine.net/signin at my uncle's recording studio in Oneonta. The whole band, including Nilson Wilson, Khadija Aslam and Aidan Drouse in addition to me (Hugo Keith) helped to produce it, but the studio engineering was done chiefly by me. I wrote this song and play the guitar panned to the right as well as the solo.
