Coastal Curses is a project that is ongoing about small town maritime horror. It details the lives of three individuals brought to a town wrecked by the horrors of the past and present, and they end up ensnared by the mystery, monsters and magic that dwell beneath the waves.
The Wonder of it all was a scripted project by Jacqui Clydesdale - she reached out to me to create concept work for a possible animated short that could be made about a sweet little toy shop that was perfect for kids to lose themselves in their imaginations.
This was a children’s book that was written by Matle’n Marshall about the importance of tradition and taking care of your elders. I was approached to illustrate this in early 2020 to design the animal characters, and then moved to illustrating the full page drawings. At this time I was not versed in background work so it’s more plain than my present day work, but I am still proud of this stepping stone.
