I'm Maria A Sabalo Vladychevskaya, a film director and multidisciplinary artist born in Luanda, Angola. I blend theatre, cinema, and visual arts to tell stories that explore cultural memory, contemporary art, and the human experience. I studied at The All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow and have collaborated across post-production, direction, and music video projects in Russia, Georgia, Thailand, and beyond. My practice is rooted in collaboration with creative communities such as Kruzhok and V–A–C Vaults, and I am continually exploring new media and storytelling forms. I am passionate about shaping narratives through film and art, and I enjoy engaging with diverse artistic environments to bring ambitious projects to life.
