    paper The Unforgivable Act (2024) - short film

    “The Unforgivable Act” is a short film directed by André Machado, a Pasadena-based filmmaker, for which I had the opportunity to compose the original score. This project challenged me to translate the protagonist’s obsession and descent into madness into music, crafting a sonic landscape that intensifies the psychological tension of the narrative.

    Through a blend of eerie textures, dissonant harmonies, and haunting motifs, I aimed to immerse the audience in the character’s unraveling mind, heightening the emotional weight of each scene. The score was designed to evolve alongside the protagonist’s mental state, shifting from subtle unease to full-blown chaos.

    This collaboration allowed me to explore storytelling through music, reinforcing the film’s atmosphere while staying true to the director’s vision.
