    This project involved mixing an aggressive rap vocal over a two-track instrumental — a common challenge in modern hip-hop workflows. Despite limited control over the instrumental itself, I was able to carve space for the vocal, control dynamics, and bring the entire track to a polished, punchy final mix. The artist wanted energy, grit, and clarity — with layered ad-libs, heavy vocal presence, and a hard-hitting feel. I used a combination of dynamic shaping, saturation, and stereo tricks to give the vocal intensity and character while maintaining cohesion with the beat.
