I'm a musician who specialises in singing and I also act and work as a voice artist and narrator. I am based near Manchester in the UK. I started my musical career by learning the Classical Guitar from the age of 8. I have also always loved singing and over my school and University life took lead roles in various shows and performances. During my teens, I started taking my singing more seriously and joined a prestigious Early Music Choir in Buckfastleigh in Devon. My first singing lesson was with the renowned Early Music expert, Emma Kirkby, who was my idol then and still is. Steeped in the Early Music scene, I was lucky to be able to play a range of Early Music instruments such as the Viol, the baroque recorders and the Lute. Ultimately though, I decided to specialise in singing and achieved a Ba (mus) Hons from the University of East Anglia (U.E.A.) taking lessons with Ellis Keeler from the Guildhall School of Music. I enjoyed a semi-professional career as a solo Soprano, mostly performing Early Music Since moving north from the mIdlands, I have joined the world-renowned Choir, The Huddersfield Choral Society and as a result have been part of 2 new recordings of The Dream of Gerontius (Elgar) fro Hyperion records and Lobgesang (Medelssohn) for the BBC proms 2025. I am also a member of The RSCM Northern Cathedral Singers and it is so wonderful to be able to sing in various cathedrals in the North of England. Alongside my classical career, I have always performed as a folk/country/bluegrass singer and in 2001 I recorded a CD with one of the top British Bluegrass Bands at the time, The Bluegrass Brothers. You can listen to the Album on soundcloud. My work in the health industry led me to public speaking, Broadcast presenting and running my own podcasts.
