I am an artist and a writer. I pursued the practice of theater alongside my university studies in Prehistory and Anthropology in Pisa, with a particular interest in the culture of ancient India. Throughout the years, my translation practice has moved between being purely a source of sustenance totally alien to my artistic experience (translating for IT companies, travel agencies and commercial purposes), to an interesting field of research and activity (translating theater scripts, literary texts, psychology and spirituality essays, academic articles). I taught English Conversation to Italian speaking teenagers for 11 years. I give online English conversation trainings, mostly to Italian speakers. I translated Mirella Schino's Il libro degli inventari (Bulzoni 2015 / Routledge 2017) into English. My own creations focus on the use of voice and poetry, and I have collaborated with jazz musicians and sound improvisers in concerts and installations in Turin and Amsterdam, where I live. Since 2009, I have edited all English translations for the Swiss group Trickster-p and provided voice acting, voice over and voice off for the English and Italian versions of the Italian and English versions of their art theater creations. I have co-directed the festival Magfest, in collaboration with the international network of women in contemporary theater, The Magdalena Project.
