This is a documentary edit I have recently been working on. part of my mentorship at Unsplice. A few more touches to B-role and moving clips around to make the story flow better, but it’s getting there. I have really enjoyed the learning process through putting this edit together. I would say the main challenge I had at the start of this edit was choosing what story to tell. I found how deep mikes routs go on this farm and I went with that and dug deeper. And found his grandma Evelyn Rose Lightfoot who taught him how to navigate farm life. And how that impacted his life on the future. The overcoming of adversity and the making of a legacy.
