I led the complete redesign and implementation of an internal company newsletter to improve internal communication, accessibility and employee engagement.
The project started with a short employee survey and an analysis of the existing communication environment to understand content needs, reading behavior and technical constraints. Based on these insights, I evaluated technical possibilities and developed a sustainable newsletter concept aligned with internal workflows.
The final solution was an Outlook-based internal newsletter published weekly, with content sourced directly from a SharePoint blog. Employees submit their own contributions via the blog, while headlines and introductory teasers are curated and featured in the newsletter, linking directly to the full articles.
In addition, all blog posts are automatically displayed in the SharePoint homepage newsfeed, including header images and teasers, creating a consistent and interconnected internal communication ecosystem.
This approach ensured low editorial effort, high employee involvement and a seamless integration between newsletter, intranet and internal content creation.
