paper Story about validation, understanding what we can control

This is a story I wrote and illustrated, all about making bread and feelings. It starts with a little girl and her dad running a bread bakery from their home and their passion to help the business succeed. The girl, Odette, has a knack for numbers and organization , but is quickly met with a dilemma in which she cannot control. This sends her into an emotional spiral, but is met with validation and compassion from her father. He explains all is true in her reality, and that we can have control over what we choose to do next. It is a heartwarming, silly, and relatable story with pieces of 1980’s punk culture and nostalgia.
Illustrations are done in gauche, colored pencil and ink marker.
