Collaborated with two teammates to promote the event, including taking photographs to showcase the groups presenting on the EmergEX TrendCon day (April 17, 2026).     EmergEX Trendcon

    Overview

    This was a Trendcon Event for SAIT’s software students Capstone for the end of their winter semester for 2026. The event was to highlight the accomplishments made by the software students during their time at SAIT. Branding and promoting the event was done to empathize the techy esthetic the event was going to have which led to the usage of neon blues and pinks being used for the brand to give a Tron vibe for the event. Additionally the event was going to slowly revealed with information coming in small batches to build up hype.

    Instagram Date Reveal

    The date reveal post for the EmergEX Instagram was made to hint towards the date of the event and what type of event it is supposed to be also mentioning to stay tuned for more information.

    • I chose to use a blue and pinks gradient background that moved to help showcase the techy Tron like feel for the post wiliest using a font called Elavon for the text to further showcase it.

    • I made the lines to also add to it but kept the opacity low to not be too confusing .

    These are the two variants for the photos taken before the event happened on April 14th 2026 and for the photos that were taken on the event day.

    • I chose to do a gradient similar to the gradient for the date reveal as it showcased a clear tech and Tron vibe for a background design.
    • I added in the lines and details to further the Tron look with a neon blue colour and lower the opacity to make sure it didn’t come off as too distracting from the information, mascot, and title.
