Arts of Life is a non-profit that provides artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities a collective space to expand their art practice and promote their work. As an Artist Mentor I provided direct assistance to artists and ran weekly programing. I led workshops on making foldable heart-shaped cards for friends, wrote love letters, and presented on the history of the disability rights movement. I also redecorated the wellness room and organized a larger community workshop where artists decorated fabric squares to be sewn into a quilt, which now hangs in the wellness room.
