I have to admit, I’m a doodler from way back. I‘ve been drawing and creating art for as long as I remember, and was inspired by my big brother to attend art school and then focus on graphic design. Fast forward a few decades, and I‘ve been lucky enough to create pretty iconic work for well-known brands like Steam Whistle Brewing, Morgan Meighen and Associates, and Oyster Boy Restaurant, among many others. I create ideas that serve the needs of the product or client, not vice versa. I’m not the guy who uses the latest Instagram filter and calls it a concept. But I have been known to dream in Futura. I’m in it for the long haul, but I’ve evolved my craft to stay current. However, I still start my ideas with a sketchbook, and I always will. I like to say that good design has integrity and longevity - two things I always put in the forefront. After more than 30 years in the business there is still nothing that makes me happier than helping a client raise the bar higher than they ever thought possible.…

    The Rum Swizzle is the only drink that is named for how it’s mixed - a bartender uses a ‘swizzle’ stick to blend the rum, fruit and other ingredients. Drawing on the rich history of Bermuda and the famous drink that was first popularized there, restauranteur/entrepreneur Shannon Simons got in touch to help package and sell his locally loved recipes. Research into the primary ready-to-drink target market found a millennial-aged consumer that wanted convenience, traditional ingredients and multiple flavourings.     Acadian Maple has been tapping into maple trees in Nova Scotia for over 40 years. They’re producers and distributors of maple syrups, flavoured coffees, jams, sauces, and other gourmet food items. When long-time client Glynn Williams purchased the company in 2019, he got in touch with Creative Director/Designer David Hayes to bring a more contemporary and visually appealing look to the brand.
