I am a San Francisco-based documentary filmmaker, editor, and photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Broadcast Journalism & Documentary from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, and a minor in Earth and Its Environment. My work explores the relationship between people, the places they live, and the challenges they face, focusing on stories that highlight resilience and the strength of local communities in the face of adversity. Whether documenting the effects of diesel pollution in West Oakland or capturing the legacy of rural farmers in northern Thailand, I aim to tell stories that spark reflection and inspire connection. My storytelling approach blends immersive, observational filmmaking with thoughtful interviews, creating space for people to share their lived experiences. I strive to build understanding across backgrounds and perspectives, using film and photography as mediums for connection. In 2024, I joined the U.S. office of Imagine5, a global storytelling platform focused on environmental solutions, as a content production intern. There, I worked closely with their cinematographer to help produce stories that encourage practical action and collective care for our planet, including their Wildtype Cultivated Salmon story, their How To Waste Less Food Toolkit, and their Hunter Pence Healthy Planet Project story. The previous summer, I interned with the production company Rigel Moon, gaining hands-on experience in research, scripting, on-location production, and post-production. My festival-nominated documentary film, The Fight To Breathe, explores the environmental health concerns faced by families in West Oakland, with a focus on a 2020 resolution aimed at reducing diesel pollution and improving air quality. My travels to over 25 countries across Europe, Asia, North America, and North Africa have shaped my worldview and deepened my belief in the power of listening, storytelling, and shared responsibility. A lifelong nature lover and advocate for environmental stewardship, I use my platform to highlight how everyday people meet the moment—wherever they are—and how we can all play a role in shaping a healthier, more connected future.
