    I worked at Space Dynamics Laboratory(SDL), and they wanted to update their logo identity. SDL is affiliated with Utah State University. One of the requirements was that the typeface had to be the same as the Utah State University logo typeface. The mention of the Utah State University Research Foundation also needed to be a part of the logo and the circle graphic designed by one of its founders.     The client wanted to create a logo identity with the R. So if the R were by itself, their customers would know it was Rainy's Fly Fishing. Plus, the R would look great as a bumper sticker on the back of a truck. So I designed a fish jumping out of the water inside the shape of the R.     This was a new high school being built, and they had decided to use the same colors as the Seattle Seahawks football team to represent their High School. They also wanted to be named the Ridgeline High School Riverhawks. So I did some research with the hawk and the colors and came up with this design. The first design I submitted to the committee was just the hawk head, and then they came back, wanting me to design the entire hawk with the same design treatment.
