    uniE621 MOTORZINE
Motorzine is a self-initiated passion project that combines my love for automotive culture with my expertise in photography, editorial design, and visual storytelling. As an avid attendee of car shows, I capture original photographs that document the unique details, aesthetics, and atmosphere of the automotive world. I then use these images to create experimental zines and merchandise, allowing me to refine my design skills while exploring new creative techniques. For this edition of Motorzine, I designed a series of pages using a punk-inspired collage aesthetic. This raw, energetic style reflects both the rebellious spirit of underground car culture and the DIY ethos of traditional punk zines. I incorporated layered textures, bold typography, and mixed-media elements to create a visually striking composition that mirrors the fast-paced and dynamic nature of the automotive scene.
    uniE621 SPRINGTIME BILLBOARDS
This project was developed in response to a competition brief issued by WeAreGlimpse, which tasked designers with creating either a video or a series of billboards to inspire excitement for the arrival of spring. The challenge specified that the campaign should avoid a typical global warming or nature charity aesthetic, instead focusing on a fashion-forward, trend-driven approach to celebrate the season. I chose to create a series of eight billboards, each featuring springtime flowers from different regions around the world. The concept was to showcase the diversity and richness of spring as it’s experienced globally, incorporating a variety of flowers that are symbolic of the season in different cultures. Through this, I aimed to evoke a sense of joy and renewal, while also promoting inclusivity and belonging within our multicultural society.
    uniE621 JONES AND YOUNG LTD
This project marked my first freelance role as a graduate, providing me with the opportunity to work directly with Jones and Young to elevate their social media presence. I was responsible for creating 300 engaging and visually cohesive social media posts across multiple platforms, ensuring each piece aligned with the brand’s identity and resonated with its target audience. In addition to content creation, I took charge of organizing and scheduling the posts using SocialBee, a social media management tool. My goal was to establish a strategic and consistent upload schedule, ensuring that two posts were published per day from September 2024 through mid-January 2025. This involved carefully curating content, balancing promotional and engaging posts, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize the content strategy over time.
    uniE621 PRIPYAT ARCHIVES
This project was part of the esteemed ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) Awards, where we were given a selection of five diverse briefs to choose from. After carefully considering each, I selected the brief titled “Death of the Centre”, which explored themes of abandonment, loss, and the shifting focus of centrality in both physical and societal contexts. This brief offered a unique opportunity to dive deep into the concept of forgotten spaces, and I felt compelled to address the poignant narrative of Pripyat, the abandoned city near Chernobyl. For my project, I created a zine centered on the street art found in Pripyat. This once-thriving community, now silent and desolate after the Chernobyl disaster, is home to murals, graffiti, and other forms of urban expression that have been left behind by those who lived there. Through the zine, I sought to bring back a sense of hope and remembrance to this city by highlighting these street artworks, which stand as silent testimonies to a bygone era. The pieces of street art, full of raw emotion and resilience, spoke of a place that had once been full of life and energy. My intention was to reconnect viewers with the memory of a bustling, vibrant community while acknowledging the stark reality of its abandonment.
    uniE621 THE LUCAS CLASSIC
For this project, I was tasked with developing a new visual identity for the Lucas Classic, which included designing three social media posts, a poster, and email banners. The goal was to create a cohesive design that would capture the essence of the brand while engaging a wider audience across various digital platforms. I approached the design by incorporating both texture and illustration to emphasize the intricate parts used in the cars, bringing a level of depth and tactile quality to the visuals. By highlighting key automotive elements, I aimed to connect the audience to the mechanical nature of the product, while also creating an aesthetic that was visually compelling. To further elevate the design, I introduced a playful cut-and-stick style of color. This approach, with its bold, graphic appeal, added an element of fun and energy, ensuring the design didn’t just feel technical but also approachable and exciting. The intention was to create a balance between the precision and craftsmanship of the Lucas Classic with a modern, engaging twist that would stand out on social media and other platforms. The final outcome was a set of designs that effectively communicated the brand’s core values while ensuring they were visually dynamic and on-brand. Each piece—whether a social media post, poster, or email banner—worked cohesively to reinforce the Lucas Classic identity, while also encouraging engagement with the audience. This project allowed me to explore how to merge technical details with a fun and approachable visual language, resulting in a design that was both informative and captivating.

    uniE621 LUMA CAFE
Luma is a café identity built around warmth, ritual, and the soft glow of everyday moments. Inspired by the quiet comfort of morning coffee and the familiarity of well-loved café rituals, the branding leans into hand-drawn illustration as a way to humanize the experience and slow things down. Each element is intentionally imperfect, celebrating craft, texture, and the beauty of repetition. The colour palette keeps the identity timeless and versatile, allowing the brand to feel both contemporary and rooted in tradition. The design uses expressive line work and negative space to create depth and character. This restraint gives Luma a calm, confident presence, one that feels equally at home on packaging, menus, walls, and digital touchpoints. The repeating pattern acts as a visual rhythm, echoing the daily routines of café life: the hiss of steam, the pour of coffee, the pause between sips. It brings cohesion to the brand while remaining subtle enough to support the overall atmosphere rather than overpower it. The illustrations are designed to feel familiar yet elevated, reinforcing a sense of comfort while maintaining a refined, curated aesthetic. At its core, Luma is about illumination - both literal and emotional. The branding is meant to glow softly in the background, enhancing the café’s environment while allowing the coffee, the space, and the community to take centre stage. It’s an identity that feels welcoming, thoughtful, and quietly memorable, designed for a café that values quality, intention, and the simple pleasure of a well-made cup.
    uniE621 OLIVA ROSSA CHILLI OIL
Oliva Rossa is a small-batch chilli olive oil made with cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil and slow-infused dried chillies. The brand aims to elevate a kitchen staple into a statement product - something that lives permanently on the countertop, not hidden in a cupboard. This project focuses on creating a visual identity that feels bold, refined, and sensory, bridging the gap between gourmet and everyday use. The final identity positions Oliva Rossa as a refined, flavour-forward chilli olive oil that feels at home in both professional kitchens and modern homes. The design enhances the sensory experience while remaining timeless and scalable.
    uniE621 The Quiet Between Tides
The Quiet Between Tides is a conceptual book cover design for a literary fiction novel exploring themes of memory, grief, and emotional distance. The cover uses layered textures, torn paper, and restrained imagery to visually reflect the fragmented nature of recollection and the quiet moments that shape personal change. A muted, coastal-inspired palette and generous negative space create a sense of stillness, while subtle contrasts and material textures add depth without overwhelming the composition. The design avoids literal storytelling in favor of suggestion, allowing atmosphere and metaphor to guide the reader’s emotional response. This project demonstrates my approach to translating narrative themes into visual form, balancing conceptual clarity with market awareness, and designing with restraint to create emotionally resonant, contemporary book covers.
    uniE621 Orbit Mental Health App
ORBIT is a mental health and wellbeing app designed to support young professionals through accessible, low-pressure daily practices. The goal of this project was to create a brand identity that feels calm, modern, and emotionally intelligent - avoiding both clinical coldness and overly playful wellness clichés. The visual identity is built around simplicity and clarity. A soft, grounded color palette was developed to evoke reassurance and balance, while maintaining strong contrast for accessibility. Typography was selected for its warmth and legibility, ensuring the interface feels approachable and easy to navigate. Generous spacing and clean layouts reinforce the brand’s core message: mental wellbeing should feel manageable, not overwhelming. The logo and icon system were designed to scale seamlessly across digital touchpoints, particularly within small app icon formats. Supporting UI screens focus on intuitive navigation and minimal friction, reflecting the app’s mission to integrate naturally into daily routines. The final outcome presents a cohesive and scalable visual system that builds trust, encourages engagement, and positions ORBIT as a thoughtful alternative within the crowded wellness app market.
    uniE621 Sunday Table Recipe Book
This project explores the design of a front cover for Sunday Table, a playful recipe book that celebrates cooking as a joyful, creative experience rather than a polished performance. The brief focused on creating a bold, illustrated cover that feels expressive, handmade, and full of personality. The visual direction embraces sketch-style artwork, vibrant color, and imperfect linework to reflect the spontaneity and warmth of cooking at home. Instead of traditional food photography, the cover relies on illustration and expressive typography to create an immediate emotional connection and stand out on both physical shelves and digital platforms. The final design balances energy with clarity, ensuring the title remains legible while allowing colour, texture, and illustration to take centre stage. The result is a cover that feels inviting, human, and fun - capturing the spirit of a cookbook made to be used, shared, and enjoyed.
    uniE621 PUNK ROCK NIGHT
For this project, I was tasked with creating a poster to promote a punk rock night music event. The challenge was to design a visual that captured the rebellious, high-energy essence of punk rock while effectively communicating the event’s details. Drawing heavily from the aesthetic and ethos of the punk scene, I integrated a range of textures, imagery, and typography that reflected the raw, edgy spirit of the genre. The design features a combination of distressed textures and bold, graphic elements to evoke the DIY attitude synonymous with punk culture. I used imagery inspired by iconic punk visuals, such as torn paper, graffiti, and hand-drawn illustrations, to enhance the authenticity and vibrancy of the poster. This not only created a sense of visual chaos but also conveyed the energetic, untamed nature of the punk rock scene. In addition to the textured elements, I chose a typographic style that mirrored the bold, confrontational nature of punk music, ensuring the event details stood out without overshadowing the overall design. The layout was carefully balanced to guide the viewer’s eye, prioritizing key information while maintaining the chaotic, yet cohesive look associated with punk design. Through this project, I aimed to blend graphic design with cultural expression, creating a poster that not only served its promotional purpose but also connected emotionally with the target audience. By staying true to the punk aesthetic while ensuring clarity and impact, the final design was both a tribute to the genre and an effective piece of event marketing.
