I am deeply passionate about the intersection of creativity and technology, constantly exploring how innovation can transform the way we create, distribute, and experience media. With a foundation in music and a strong technical aptitude, I thrive in environments that demand both artistic vision and analytical thinking. My journey has spanned live performance, music production, business strategy, and emerging technologies—giving me a unique perspective on how different disciplines connect and evolve. I am driven by curiosity and a commitment to pushing boundaries. Whether composing and producing music, developing data-driven strategies, or working on AI-driven solutions, I seek to bridge the gap between creative expression and technical precision.

This document represents a cross-section of artists currently engaged with Bakatwa Media Group across management, production, creative direction, and distribution. The roster spans multiple disciplines—DJs, producers, rappers, poets, vocalists, and music collectives—and reflects our commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices and supporting independent creatives globally.
Each artist brings a distinct cultural background: Zimbabwean poets based in Barcelona, Nigerian-Jamaican DJs in London, genre-defying collectives, and UK-based rappers with Zimbabwean heritage. This diversity demonstrates my ability to operate across borders, manage international creative relationships, and provide strategic support tailored to each artist’s context and ambition.
As founder and CEO, I oversee the infrastructure that enables these artists to distribute work, protect their rights, access live opportunities, and build sustainable careers. This roster is actively growing and represents Bakatwa’s expanding international footprint.

As part of the team supporting opening act DJ Sin, I worked behind the scenes at the Mob Deep live performance in Brighton, gaining direct exposure to the operations of a major international hip-hop concert. My role involved shooting video content and behind-the-scenes footage with full photographer credentials, assisting with pre-show logistics and performance coordination, and supporting the team in maintaining event schedule and flow.
This experience marked my first time working within a large-scale international touring environment. It provided practical insight into how global acts run their shows from both front and back of house, and allowed me to observe professional standards in live production, artist coordination, and backstage management. Working alongside legendary figures in hip-hop—whose influence spans decades and continents—was both a learning opportunity and a full-circle moment as a creative professional.
The skills gained in content production, event logistics, and pressure-driven coordination directly inform my work producing Bakatwa’s live events and managing artist experiences.

“T3LOS” is the debut single from NakisoFM, a UK-raised Zimbabwean artist whose introspective lyricism and raw delivery have drawn comparisons to Little Simz. The track explores coming of age as a young woman navigating pressure, identity, and self-discovery—themes that resonate deeply with young Black women and have already begun cultivating a loyal listener base.
This release marks Bakatwa Media Group’s official entry into global distribution and artist development. I oversaw the full release strategy: identifying and signing the artist, providing creative direction, managing distribution across all major streaming platforms, and coordinating the marketing approach. NakisoFM had been writing and uploading independently to SoundCloud for years; this project represents her first professional release and the beginning of a sustained rollout of singles building toward a broader audience.
“T3LOS” demonstrates my ability to identify promising talent, provide the infrastructure and strategic support to launch them professionally, and execute a release cycle that balances artistic authenticity with market positioning. It also establishes the template for how Bakatwa nurtures underrepresented voices with cultural depth and global ambition.

My debut single “Cape 2 Cairo” is an Afrohouse track that I wrote, produced, mixed, mastered, and independently released across all major streaming platforms. The work draws deeply on my upbringing in South Africa, blending the rhythms and sonic energy that shaped my musical identity with a broader Pan-African creative vision. The title reimagines the historical Cape to Cairo railway—an incomplete colonial-era project—as a symbol of unfinished narratives, and positions the track within a new era of young African artists defining their own futures.
Executing this release independently gave me hands-on experience across the entire music lifecycle, from composition and technical production to distribution and promotion. More significantly, the data, audience insights, and publishing traction gained from this project directly informed the strategies Bakatwa Media Group now uses to support its artist roster. The track opened industry doors that I am now committed to holding open for other independent creatives.
This release represents both my artistic foundation and a strategic prototype. It demonstrates my ability to execute high-quality creative work independently, translate personal experience into repeatable strategies for others, and merge cultural storytelling with market intelligence. The full EP, expanding on themes of movement, identity, and transformation, follows at the end of the month.

In June 2025, I produced and curated the Bakatwa Summer Party, our second major live event and a significant scale-up from our previous launch. Held at Doña, a prominent music venue in Hackney, London, the event expanded to a 180-capacity public ticketed experience across two floors, requiring more complex production planning than our earlier 70-capacity private launch.
My role encompassed the full creative and logistical execution: designing the event flow to maximise artist exposure and audience engagement across both levels; scheduling DJ sets and live performances from our growing artist roster; coordinating with the venue on technical and operational requirements; and managing all ticketing logistics through Eventbrite. The programming featured showcases of new signings and premieres of fresh releases, transforming the space into a summer celebration rooted in community and independent creativity.
In addition to my production role, I also performed at the event. I played supporting London-based duo Nomad X, contributing as a drummer, and performed my own music as a rapper. This dual role—as both curator and performing artist—reflects my direct engagement with the creative work Bakatwa exists to support, and keeps me connected to the artist experience at every level.
This project demonstrates my capacity to scale creative experiences strategically, manage multi-venue production elements, and build a recognisable cultural brand. It also reflects the growing trust artists place in Bakatwa Media Group to platform their work in prime London settings, and my ability to execute events that balance artistic integrity with professional production values.

In 2024, I managed and executive-produced an intimate fan meet and greet in Bangalore, India, for Singaporean-Indian artist Chai Lenin, our flagship artist for Bakatwa Media Group’s Eastern initiatives. The event was designed as a curated experience far beyond a typical appearance—featuring a grounding meditation, interactive conversations on artistry and transformation, journaling and gratitude rituals, an exclusive preview of unreleased music, and a live Q&A with a photography session.
Working remotely from the UK, I handled end-to-end project management including: defining the event’s artistic tone and flow with the artist; researching and selecting the venue in Bangalore; coordinating with local partners for logistics and setup; managing all ticketing through an online platform; and overseeing financial reconciliation and profit splits post-event. The gathering attracted devoted fans and local creatives, reinforcing Chai’s community-driven following across South and Southeast Asia.
This project demonstrates my ability to operate internationally across time zones and cultural contexts, manage complex logistics from a distance, and deliver impactful creative experiences that align with an artist’s vision while building sustainable community and alternative revenue streams.

In November 2024, I produced and curated the Bakatwa Launch Party, a ticketed event at 6 Degrees Studios in West London that marked the public debut of Bakatwa Media Group. The event brought together approximately 70 guests for an evening of multidisciplinary performances spanning poetry, singing, rap, and DJ sets, including a dedicated album listening segment for one of our core artists.
My vision for the event was to demonstrate the kind of creative ecosystem Bakatwa is building—one rooted in intersectionality, collaboration, and empowerment. We transformed a photographic studio into a dynamic performance space, reflecting our belief in cross-pollination between creative disciplines and the creative repurposing of infrastructure to serve artists meaningfully.
A significant outcome was platforming emerging talent: several performers appeared on stage for the first time. As producer, I ensured these artists received professional exposure in a supportive environment, reinforcing Bakatwa’s commitment to grassroots development. The evening fostered genuine connection among attendees, with the atmosphere reflecting our guiding principle of Ubuntu—“I am because we are.”
This work demonstrates my capability in event production, creative direction, and community building. It also established a template for future Bakatwa productions and proved our ability to execute artist-first, professionally run cultural events.

As Assistant Producer and Camera Operator for This is My Life, I recorded raw footage for their community storytelling initiative based in West Norwood. The project empowers vulnerable children—particularly those in the UK care system—by helping them articulate their personal stories through guided interviews and visual content.
Working on location, I captured interviews and supporting footage that would later be shaped into finished pieces for the project’s YouTube channel and digital platforms. The initiative supports children in documenting memories, processing emotions, and building identity through Life Story Workbooks and digital tools, reaching foster care communities, educators, and social workers.
This role required sensitivity to the subject matter and the ability to create a comfortable environment for participants while maintaining professional production standards. It strengthened my experience in documentary-style capture and my understanding of how media production can serve social impact work.
As the Recording, Mixing, and Mastering Engineer for MC Kinin’s single “Kovakara Ponnu,” I was responsible for the full audio production lifecycle of the track. The artist, a Tamil Indian performer with a substantial international audience, recorded vocals at New Balance Studios in London. My role was to capture the vocal performance with clarity and presence, then shape the sonic identity of the record through mixing, ensuring every element sat cohesively. I completed the work with professional mastering, preparing the track for global release.
This project highlights my technical proficiency and ability to deliver at an international standard. It also reflects my position as Studio Manager at New Balance Studios, where I oversaw operations and technical delivery for a facility trusted by artists from around the world. The successful release of this track demonstrates the studio’s growing global footprint and the confidence artists place in my expertise to realise their creative vision.
